Wedding Dresses

November 9, 2009

Choosing your wedding dress is possibly one of the most exciting things a woman ever has to do! There are so many factors you need to take into consideration too, what colour do you pick, what style do you go for and how long do you have the train?!

If you just cant make you mind up and don’t like any that you see in the shops, then why not have one custom made! This may add slightly more onto the price, but it will mean you have exactly what you want.

You will need to supply all measurements, including hips and waist and even the height of your heels. You will let them know what colour you want and when you need it and hey presto, your custom made dress is ready and looks perfect for your big day.

Wedding Shopping Essentials!

What do I put on the tables? Who do I buy presents for? Where can I buy confetti? These are the kind of questions that worrying brides ask themselves before the big day.

There are a number of people who you should, but don’t have to buy presents for:

  • Bridesmaids
  • Page Boys
  • Best man
  • Ushers
  • Parents

You don’t need to go overboard with what you buy, it’s just a token gesture and a big thank you for all their help on your special day.

If it is table decorations that you are thinking about then try and keep it fairly simple. Attractive ribbons and trims can make any table look glam, remember to add balloons and disposable cameras too!

That’s my wedding song!

November 5, 2009

If you aren’t married, or are planning your wedding, I’m sure you will already have the song you walk down the isle to, or your first dance already planned!

Most girls who are dreaming of a white wedding have already got plans on how they see their special day going. I had already picked my first dance song by the time I was a teenager and I made sure it was played, how I imagined, on my wedding day!

Music can instantly set the mood and if you choose a song which is special to both yourself and your husband to be, then it can make your big day seem all the more special.

How the music is played is up to you. You may decide to invest in a DJ or even a live band. Either way, make sure you book in advance to avoid any disappointment if they are fully booked!!

Wedding help for men!!

November 4, 2009

Dependant on the couple, men don’t always have a huge say in how the wedding is going to be run, colours, location or guests! But, they do have a HUGE part to play and need to make sure they get it right. Saying ‘I do’ isn’t the only job they have, they will normally have an empty bank account by the end of it and have to make sure their speech is to perfection!

Knowing that your bride to be will look absolutely gorgeous as she walks down the isle will mean that you will have to be groomed to perfection. Make sure your hair is cut and you have had a shave, no-one wants to see Rolf Harris as your vale is being lifted up!

This website will help you overcome all your wedding day fears and will make sure that you are set to go for your big day!

Man, 112 marries girl, 17!

November 2, 2009

The world is full of many weird and wonderful stories about marriage. Horses getting married, celebrities getting wed for less than a week and……a 112 year old man getting married to a 17 year old girl!!!!

Ahmed Mohammed Dore who has already married 5 times before and has 13 children was overjoyed after he took the hand of Safia Abdulleh.

Safia’s family didn’t seem at all bothered about the age gap, they have said that she is happy that he is her husband. Some people in Somalia are slightly worried about the huge age difference, with others being happy that the couple have found love.

“I didn’t force her, but used my experience to convince her of my love; and then we agreed to marry. It is a blessing to have someone you love to take care of you”.

Weddings

October 27, 2009

There are many types of weddings held across the world, in different seasons, online, a small church, a major event etc.

There are different cultures as well, quite often there isn’t just one event! In certain cultures only one side of the family pays for the actual wedding, whilst the other events are paid by the other. Sometimes religion can be involved and their can be arranged marriages and special procedures. On the flipside many marriages are done through sheer love, randomness, and drunkness. Lets not forget the many celebrities who suddenly get married and divorced – some say for publicity?

Whatever it is, marriage is a special event for many and often quite costly!
